TTD to renovate 'Kalyanamandapams' in AP

Tirumala, Dec 9 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to renovate the TTD owned 'Kalyanamandapams' across Andhra Pradesh to conduct 50,000 mass marriage on February 22, 2007.

Talking to newspersons after attending a high-level meeting at Tirumala today, TTD Trust Board Chairman B Karunakar Reddy said the board had also decided to introduce a special scheme to help 'Maladasars', who were propagating the age-old Hindu culture and its traditions in society.

The board had decided to conduct more conferences on 'Puranas', 'Harikathas' and 'Ithihasas' in Tirumala, he added.
