TPCC celebrates Sonia gandhi's birthday

Agartala, Dec 9 (UNI) The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee today celebrated the 60th birthday of AICC President Sonia Gandhi by distributing sweets and organising meeting throughout the state.

To mark the occasion, party office bearers, headed by TPCC President Samir Ranjan Burman, distributed sweets among the workers and offered special prayers in temples wishing long life for the party chief.

A meeting in this connection would be held at the Congress Bhavan where AICC Secretary Sanjay Batra is expected.

Mr Batra would be coming here this evening for two days to attend a public meeting organised by the TPCC in Tripura's south district tomorrow, a party spokesman said.
