Table Swaminathan report in Parliament: Naidu

Khammam (Andhra Pradesh), Dec 9: Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu today demanded that the report prepared by eminent agricultural scientist Dr M S Swaminathan on the agrarian crisis be tabled in the Parliament.

Talking to newspersons here, he said both the Union and State Governments, instead of taking comprehensive steps to mitigate the farmers' sufferings, were wiping out their tears by giving them doles.

He said instead of helping the affected families with doles, the Centre should take steps to pull out the farming community from present crisis and ensure their betterment.
