Prabhat Khabar lifts Media cup

Jamshedpur, Dec 9 (UNI) Hindi daily Prabhat Khabar lifted the Media cup defeating Visual (Red) by seven wickets in the finals at Keenan Stadium here today.

Batting first, the Visual team managed to score 125 for seven in the stipulated 20 overs match. Prashant Singh was the highest scorer 51 runs and adjudged man of the match.

Prabhat Khabar reached the target in 17 overs losing three wickets.

Prabhat Khabar's Niranjan Singh was declared man of the series for his consistent all round performance.

Tata Steel Deputy Managing Director Arun Narayan Singh gave away the prizes to the winners and the runners up. Tata Steel sports chief Satish Pillai also presented the prizes to the participants.

Altogether 12 teams from print and electronic media took part in the tournament which was held after a gap of eight years.
