One Kashmiri Haj pilgrim dies, 25 injured in Saudi Arabia
Srinagar, Dec 9 (UNI) A Kashmiri Haj pilgrim died and 25 others were injured in a road accident 70 km away from Mecca in Saudi Arabia today, an official communication received here said.
Divisional Commissioner, who is also convenor of the Haj committee said 26 Haj pilgrims were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling met with a accident today.
He said the injured were admitted to Al-Haira and Al-Zehra hospitals where one of the injured pilgrim identified as Mohammad Abdullah Sheikh, a resident of Mohalla Kitchloo Kishtwar tehsil of Doda district succumbed.
The conditions of the injured were stated to be out of danger, the official communique said.
The injured were identified as Ghulam Fatehma, Hanief Sheikh, Naseema Begum, Abdul Gaffer, Ghulam Mohiuddin, Rashida Begum, Arbaz Wani, Mohammad Abdullah Wani, Ameena Begum, Abdul Lateef, Ghulam Mohiuddin Naik, Zaina Begum, Kamal-u-Din, Sajida Begum, Mohammad Rabu, Ghulam Mohammad Ganai, Rubeena Akhtar, Parveen Iqbal, Zara Begum, Badshah Begum, Arza Begum, Habibullah, all resident of Doda district of Jammu region while the three others belonging to Baramulla district of Kashmir were identified as Habibullah Bhat, Mohammad Abddullah Reshi and Zaina Begum.
