Marine police cadets batch completes training
Visakhapatnam, Dec 9 (UNI) The Indian Coast Guard has completed training the third batch of marine police here today with Vishakapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) Vice-Chairman G Venkatram Reddy distributing certificates to the trainees.
A Coast Guard press release here today quoted Mr Reddy as saying the coastal areas were most vulnerable to anti-national elements and the marine police had tremendous responsibilities.
During the four-week training, the cadets were exposed to various aspects including navigation, law enforcement at sea, fisheries, law and immigration among other things.
On job training was also given on board Coast Guard ship for hands-on experience.
