Mahila Congress celebrates Sonia birthday

New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) The All India Mahila Congress today celebrated the 60th birthday of Congress President Sonia Gandhi by distributing items of need to 200 visually handicapped children of three blind schools in Delhi and sewing machines to 200 poor women from different parts of Delhi.

The items of need included quilts, sweaters and braille slates.

All the children and women were given food packets.

AICC Treasurer Motilal Vora, Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Meira Kumar. Minister of State for Health Panabaka Lakshmi, Mahila Congress President Rita Bahuguna Joshi, AICC General Secretary Mukul Wasnik, AICC Secretary Maj Ved Prakash, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Ram Babu Sharma, Delhi Mahila Ayog Chairperson Kiran Walia attended the function.
