Lawyers concerned over intervention in functioning of 'Ainsabha'

Agartala, Dec 9 (UNI) Lawyers expressed grave concern over the increasing interference into the functioning of the 'Ainsabha' by the judicial department.

Speaking to the 10th state convention of the Democratic Lawyer Association, on the 'Present tendency and activities of Judicial Division,' All India Lawyers Union of Asom state committee Vice- President Chunilal Bhattachrjee and Tripura's Advocate General Nishit Adhikari expressed grave concern over the growing interference into the works of 'Ainsabha' by the judicial department.

Referring to the ongoing grave political situation in neighbouring Bangladesh, Bangladesh Supreme Court Senior Advocate Jiad Ul MalumAll said that there was indirect pressure on the judicial department in the country.

More that 200 lawers from all over the state participated in the two-day convention that began yesterday.
