Kochi scholar chosen for Cambridge fellowship
New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) Dr Girish Kumar of the School of International Studies, of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, has been chosen for Dr D C Pavate fellowship this year at Centre of International Studies, Cambridge University.
This was announced at a function organised by D C Pavate Foundation set up in July 2000, the Golden Jubilee year of Karnataka University, Dharwad.
The Foundation selects one Indian scholar in each academic year to take up project of relevance to India and he will work as a member of Sidney Sussex College Cambridge.
Dr Kumar was chosen after a nationwide selection process involving eminent academicians in association with Karnataka University.
Dr Girish Kumar is a post doctoral researcher in the Mahatma Gandhi University, who has done research in World Trade Organisation disputes mechanism.
