JCDA seeks renewal of pharmasists licence

Ranchi, Dec 09 (UNI) Jharkhand Chemist and Druggist Association(JCDA) today accused the Registrar of Pharmacy Registration Tribunal of adopting lackadasical attitude regarding renewal of pharmasists' licence and said that JCDA would go on a statewide agitation if situation was not imporved.

Talking to mediapersons JCDA geenral secretary Amar Kumar Sinha said the matter of renewing licence of pharmasists was lying in the pharmasist tribunal for last five years. He said despite an order of Jharkhand High court, the tribunal had not taken any initiative in this regard.

The JCDA had also filed an application under Right to Information Act seeking information of the delay.

Speaking about the agenda discussed in the fifth coordination committee held today, president of the association Srikrishna Pradhan said an educational programme for the medicine retailers was being conducted to make them aware about their responsibilities.

Mr Pradhan said such educational programmes had been conducted in ten districts so far.
