Indians continue to disappoint in Sepaktakraw

Doha, Dec 9 (UNI) There seems to be no end to India's woes in the Sepaktakraw competition of the Asian Games and both the men and women teams suffered humiliating defeats against Malaysia and Korea respectively here today.

Malaysia handed India a 2-0 defeat in the men's Regu league match. In a one-sided affair the winners overpowered the hapless losers 42-14.

The Indian men have lost two and won one match in the league and will be looking to salvage some pride in the last match left to play.

The only match they won was against Iran, whose knowledge of the game was even below the Indians.

In the women section, India crashed out without a win after losing all three matches in the league. The latest disappointment came this morning when the Koreans handed a 2-0 (42-32 ) defeat to them in 34 minutes. India had earlier lost to China and Vietnam by an identical margin.
