India, UAE to sign MoU for welfare of Indian workers
Dubai, Dec 9 (UNI) The UAE and India will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining measures to ensure the welfare of Indian workers.
The MoU, which was pending for a long time, would be signed during the forthcoming visit of UAE Labour Minister Dr Ali Bin Abdullah Al Kaabi to India.
Mr Kabi, will leave for India on December 12 as the head of a high-level delegation on a four-day visit. He would sign the pact with Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi, and later he would meet Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthananthan in Thiruvanthapuram.
The UAE has taken several measures to ensure that the indian workers get their entitlement and safeguard their interests, Indian Ambassador Chandra Mohan Bhandari told a local media here.
