Four arrested in NDPS shoot out case
Mumbai, Dec 9 (UNI) Four persons were arrested by the city police here today for their alleged involvement in the October 16 NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropis Substances) shootout case.
Senior Police Inspector Pradeep Sharma of D N Nagar Police station told UNI over the phone that four persons were arrested from Varsova Link road in western suburbs here in connection with the shooting of two NDPS accused near City Civil and Session Court in south Mumbai.
Those arrested were identified as Jaffar Khan, Osman Khan, Niraj Kumar and Nihal Singh. They are believed to be sharp shooters hailing from Uttar Pradesh.
It is being alleged that they were hired by Chhota Rajan for Rs 1.5 crore to kill Amjad Khan and Himanshu Choudary, who were on bail in an NDPS case.
Both Khan and Choudhary while going back home after attending the hearing at session court at about 1300 hrs were fired upon at point blank long at the corner of Esplaned Building near the court and succumbed to the injuries in the hospital.
