Cold wave prevails over southwest Rajasthan

Pune, Dec 9 (UNI) Cold wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in southwest Rajasthan.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch and of interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of northwest Rajasthan and of Kerala. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, southeast Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha and were above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal,Orissa and of Gujarat Region.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Rain or snow have occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Andman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Lakshadweep.
