Club organizes International Rating Tourney from Dec 18

Ahmedabad, Dec 9 (UNI) City-based Fischer Chess Club has organised 2nd All India Open International FIDE Rating Chess tournament in the city between December 18 and 25.

Over 150 participants from all over India are expected to participate in the week-long event, Mr Mayur Patel, Secretary of Fischer Chess Club told here today.

Mr Patel said International Master N Sanjay of Bangalore and International Master norms holder and local star Manthan Chokshi have confirmed their participation.

The event has total prize pool of Rs 50,000, with first prize of Rs 15,000 and a trophy for the winner. The tournament will be played with international rules and regulations, he added.
