Central Railway to operate Winter special trains

Mumbai, Dec 9 (UNI) The Central Railway has decided to run special trains, on account of Christmas and New Year, between CST Mumbai and Karwar/ Aurangabad, Dadar and Madgaon/ Ernakulam/Thiruvananthapuram, Kolhapur/Pune and Ahmedabad.

Giving details about the trains, the Central Railway PRO in a release stated they would run 46 Special Trains between CST Mumbai and Karwar for the convenience of passengers.

109 Dn Special train will leave CST at 2355 hrs on and from December 15 to January 6 and will reach Karwar at 1315 hrs the next day.

The 110 Up Special will leave Karwar at 1500 hrs on and from December 16 to January 7 and reach CST at 0420 hrs the next day.

The trains will halt at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Vilawade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Pernem, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon, Canacona, Asnoti on both the ways.

The CR will also run 8 Janshatabdi special trains between Dadar and Madgaon - the 2051-A Janshatabdi specials will run every Wednesday from December 13 to January 3 and 2052-A will run every Thursday from Decmebr 14 to January 4.

These specials will run as per the timings, halts and composition of the 2051/2052 Janshatabdi Express.

There will also be eight special trains running between Dadar and Ernakulam with the 165 Dn special leaving Dadar at 1245 hrs every Wednesday from December 20 to January 10 and reaching Ernakulam at 1545 hours the next day. The 166 Up special will leave Ernakulam at 1945 hrs every Thursday from December 21 to January 11 and reach Dadar at 2355 hrs the next day, the release added.

The central railway said they would also run 10 special trains between Dadar and Thiruvananthapuram; eight special trains between Pune and Ahmedabad, eight special trains between Kolhapur and Ahmedabad; 18 Special Trains between CSTM and Aurangabad.

Reservation facilities for the special trains would be available at all computerised reservation centres from December 12.
