BJP up in arms against Centre's decision

Bhopal, Dec 9 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party's Madhya Pradesh unit today staged a sit-in and demonstration here against the Centre's decision to end reservation for dalits and tribals in minorities' educational institutions receiving government grants.

Hundreds of workers staged similar protests under the banner of the BJP's Scheduled Castes Morcha. The party's former state president Satyanarayan Jatia declared that the struggle would continue.

A delegation, led by Mr Jatia, submitted a memorandum to Governor Balram Jakhar urging reservation for Scheduled castes in such institutions.
