Bank, Insurance employees on nation-wide strike on Dec 14

New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) Bank and Insurance employees, under the banner of Sponsoring Committee of Trade Unions in the Financial Sector, will go on day-long nation-wide strike on December 14 to press for their demands.

Employees from Public Sector Banks, RBI, LIC and Public Sector General Insurance Companies will be part of the strike.

Committee official A K Bhatnagar said the financial sector is under tremendous attack from the Government under pressure from international finance capital.

''The issues confronting the financial sector must be propagated among the citizens of the country in thelarger interest if the nation,'' he said.
