A Home dept employee nabbed for taking bribe

Patna, Dec 9 (UNI) Vigilance sleuths arrested a state home department assistant clerk, Samrendra Narayan Jha, when he was taking bribe from a freedom fighter at the state secretariat here today.

ADG Neelmani said here today that following a tip off from freedom fighter Baidyanath Singh and Chief General Secretary of state freedom fighters Association Tripurari Sharan Singh, the clerk was caught red handed while taking Rs 1200, which he had demanded to prepare the pension documents of Mr Singh.

He said the residence of Jha was also being searched.
