16 Bangladeshi fishermen held for entering Indian waters

Chennai, Dec 9 (UNI) The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has arrested 16 Bangladeshi fishermen who illegally entered the Indian territorial waters and were fishing close to the Ennore Port here late last night.

Police said the fishermen, in two mechanised boats, were found moving around the Ennore Port area in the sea by the CISF, guarding the area.

The CISF intercepted the boats and towed them ashore.

Later, they were handed over to local police for further interrogation.

Further investigations were on, police added.
