Maruti Udyog unveils Zen Estilo in Jaipur

Jaipur, Dec 8: Leading car maker Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL) today unveiled its Zen model in a new avatar 'Zen Estilo' in the pink city.

MUL had withdrwan the production of the first generation Zen about eight months back in preparation for the new 'Zen Estilo'.

''Zen Estilo will help us further consolidate MUL's numero uno position in the compact car segment along with our largest selling small car Alto and the new look Wagon R,'' Mr Mayank Pareek, Chief General Manager (Marketing) MUL said while talking to newsmen.

He said the new car from the Maruti staple is roomier than the original Zen and comes with stronger 1061 cc engine, is taller and offers more boot space.

The stroner engine delivers 64 bhp and its low torque of 84 nm at 3500 rpm to deal with the Indian city conditions.

The new Zen comes with monoform shape that makes it clean, smooth and areo dynamic. He said the engineering team who had earlier associated with the Japanese counterparts in Suzuki Motor Corporation to design the Swift car and also facelifted the Wagon R has worked on the Zen Estilo as well.

Mr John Kullu, Regional Managar, Rajasthan, MUL was also present at the occassion.
