Tripura, Assam and Mizoram launch interstate drive

Agartala, Dec 08 (UNI) Tripura, Assam and Mizoram have decided to launch a drive against inter state criminals.

A high level meeting of police officers of the three states was held at Churaibari, bordering Assam in North District of Tripura recently where views were exchanged regarding inter state criminal activities.

Criminal gangs of these states were involved in various activities including stealing cars and abduction for ransom. After committing crimes the miscreants crossed over either to neighbouring Assam's Cachar and Karimganj districts or to Mizoram.

North District Superintendent of Police attended the meeting and agreed to exchange suitable information among the three states and stressed on more cooperation to combat such activities.
