Three naxalites killed in encounter

Vijayawada, Dec 8: Three Naxalites of Prathighatana Dalam werekilled in an encounter with police near Regalla village in KhammamDistrict this morning.

Khammam District Superintendent of Police R K Meena told UNI thatthe naxalites opened fire at District Special Party Guards, while theywere conducting a combing operation at an hillock.

Following the attack, the Guards opened fire at the Naxals killing them on the spot.

One AK 47 gun and a carbine were recovered from the spot by the police, he added.
