Spirit worth Rs 20 lakh seized

Palakkad, Dec 8 (UNI) Police seized 12,000 litres of spirit worth Rs 20 lakh, concealed under tomato carters from a vehicle at Nenmara near here today.

According to the police, the lorry transporting the illicit spirit in 360 cans from Tamil Nadu was on its way to Trissur in Kerala.

Police were questioning the lorry driver, who was arrested.
