Romanian delegation in Mumbai to seek JV with Indian companies

Mumbai, Dec 8 (UNI) A high-level delegation from Romania is in Mumbai seeking joint venture and strategic partnerships with Indian companies.

Addressing a meeting held by All India Association of Industries (AIAI) here today, the leader of the delegation, D Resca, who is Counsellor of Asia in the Romanian Government and in-charge of trade promotion there, said ''We're looking for JV and strategic partnerships with Indian companies in fields like production of auto components, Ayurveda and pharmaceutical products, wine-based beverages, cosmetics, deodorants, soaps, nuts, bolts, valves and flanges, construction and agriculture''.

An MoU was signed by the Romanian delegation with AIAI on the occasion for promoting trade with India. While Mr Kalantri signed the MoU on behalf of AIAI, it was Cristina of UGIR in Romanian government who signed on behalf of her country's government.

The 12-member delegation includes four representatives from the Romanian government, six representatives of various Romanian companies and two members from the Romanian Chambers of Commerce.

AIAI president Vijay Kalantri said ''Romania can be a big market for Indian industrialists aspiring to spread their network upto Russia, East and West Europe.'' The Romanian delegation visited companies including Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors, Modern Group and others.
