Rajnath Singh express satisfaction at bypolls

Ajitwal, Moga, Dec 8 (UNI) Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) President Rajnath Singh today expressed satisfaction over the outcome of Lok Sabha and assembly byelections in various states this week.

Talking to UNI here, Mr Singh felt the results were on expected lines as ''we won in our bastions while Congress retained their strongholds''.

He said BJP was strong in Madhya Pradesh and it fared well in the by polls in the state.

However, Mr Singh admitted that Congress also maintained its hold and performed well in states of its influence.
