'Poetry Magic' in Bangalore to sensitise children to poetry
Bangalore, Dec 8 (UNI) In an attempt to sensitise children to poetry and help them experience the visual beauty of poetry, leading educational publisher Ratna Sagar Pvt Ltd has organised an enhanced evening with 'Poetry Magic' in the city tomorrow.
Noted poets, including author of 'The Exquisite Balance' Poile Sengupta, noted thespian and playwright and co-founder of the Akshara Theatre, Delhi, Gopal Sharman, author of 'The Mahabharata' and 'The Puffin Book of Classic Indian Tales for Children' Meera Uberoi, would read poems from the 'Poetry Magic' series, written by Ruskin Bond and published by Ratna Sagar, a release here said today.
The 'Poetry Magic' series consisted of eight books -- books one to five have been edited and compiled by Ruskin Bond and books six to eight by highly acclaimed poet Keki Daruwalla, the release said.
An 'Open House' had also been arranged on teaching poetry and how children could be made to appreciate poetry.
