PCDA, Pune overall champs at Ist DAD Athletics meet

Chandigarh, Dec 8 (UNI) Three-day Athletics meet of all India Defence Accounts Department (DAD) culiminated here today with PCDA (Southern Command), Pune bagging the overall championship trophy with five Gold, four Silver, three Bronze. The winners scord 43 championship points followed by PCDA (P), Allahabad with five Gold, one Silver and two Bronze getting 37 points and PCDA Western Command, Chandimandir bagged the third position in the meet winning four Gold, two Silver and three Bronze which gave them 32 points.

The best athletes in four categories, were Vijay S Singh (upto 45 yrs), R Tyagi (above 45 years), KM R Radhika, (0upto 45 years-women) and S S Phadtare (above 45 years).

The other events held today were Discus Throw, 200 meter and 4x100 meter relay for men and women.
