Militants kill two, attack a BSF picket in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 8 (UNI) Militants killed two persons and attacked a Border Security Force (BSF) picket, injuring a jawan in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said.

They said militants shot at and critically wounded one Mohammad Maqbool Wani at Batapora in south Kashmir district of Anantnag last night. Wani was shifted to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Militants abducted one Bashir Ahmad at Bomai, under police station Sopore, in Baramulla district of north Kashmir last night.

His bullet riddled body was recovered at Sampore today.

Sources said militants hurled a hand grenade towards a BSF picket near a bridge at Sopore, about 55 km from here today. It exploded near the picket causing injuries to one jawan who has been hospitalised.
