Maruti launches Zen Estilo in Guwahati

Guwahati, Dec 8: With more than 70 per cent market share already in its pockets, Maruti Udyog Limited today launched its new Zen Estilo here.

The new look Zen is spacer than the original Zen, with a bigger engine (1061 cc), posh interiors and enhanced convenience features.

Targeted at the new generation with a sporting look, the new Zen has been named Estilo, the Spanish word for style.

Addressing a press meet at the unveiling of the new model, general manager (sales support) Ravi G Bhatia said, ''The new Zen promises to deliver more value for money and will appeal to all by its stylish looks and state-of-the-art features.'' Referring to the high sales of Maruti cars across the country, Mr Bhatia claimed that the manufacturers had a sizeable chunk of the market share in NE.

He informed that Maruti had 66 per cent market share in Guwahati city, while the all Asom figure was 69 per cent.

The company claimed the highest market share in Nagaland in NE at 85 per cent. Mizoram and Shillong were also good markets for the car manufacturers, he added.

On the Zen Estilo, the general manager said it was available in three variants, with prices ranging from Rs 3,36,006 to Rs 3,90,046 (ex-showroom prices in Guwahati).
