Marine police station in Baptala

Guntur, Dec 8 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government has sanctioned setting up of a Marine police station in the coastal Bapatla in the district.

The police station would be manned by an Inspector, four sub-inspectors and 45 constables, sources said.

The station would be provided with high speed patrolling boats and gun-fitted boats to check smuggling of narcotics, gold and firearms.
