Killer husband awarded life imprisonment in Bihar

Patna, Dec 08 (UNI) A fast track court of Patna today awarded life imprisonment to a person for killing his wife.

The judge, K K Sinha, found Shankar Singh, a resident of Pasahi village of Janipur police station of the district, guilty of killing his wife Poonam Devi by administering poison to her.

According to the charges, the convict husband committed the crime on August 06,2000, as his wife failed to fulfil his demand for a motorcycle in the form of dowry.
