Indo-Myanmar Army Car rally orgnaised

Shillong, Dec 8 (UNI) As a gesture of goodwill and friendship between India and Myanmar, an Indo-Myanmar Army Car rally was organised.

The rally, which commenced in Delhi on December 5, will travel along the Delhi-Guwahati-Dimapur-Kohima-Moreh-Tamu-Kalay-Mandalay-Yangon and back and will culminate at Delhi on December 28.

The rally will transit through Assam on December 9, 10, 23 and 24. The Indian Team is being represented by 33 Army members and the Myanmar team by 12 Army members.

The objective of the rally is to pay obeisance at Taukkyan War Cemetry in Yangoon which houses memorial of a large number of Indian soldiers who laid down their lives in Burma during Wrold War-II.
