HP unveils new large format printers in India
New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI) Hewlett-Packard (HP) today launched Designjet Z series of printers in the country for use by professional photographers and studios for large-format prints.
The two printers in the series -- HP Designjet Z2100 Photo Printer and HP Designjet Z3100 Photo Printer -- have two versions each of 24 inches and 44 inches.
''In the Z2100 series, the 24-inch printer is priced at Rs 2.2 lakh and the 44-inches printer is priced at Rs 3.75 lakh. In the Z3100 series, the 24-inch printer will sell for Rs 2.7 lakh while the 44-inch printer will come for Rs 4.2 lakh,'' HP Country Category Manager (Large Format Printers) Dhirendra Khurana told mediapersons here.
HP has 74 per cent share in the large format printers market globally. It has sold 420 million printers across all categories worldwide. The company earned revenues of 91.7 billion dollars in last four quarters ending October 31, 2006.
The company today also partnered with model, actor and photographer Parvin Dabas to unveil his series of underwater photographs printed on the new range of large format printers for graphics art market.
The actor will kick-off an exhibition called 'Under Over' here tomorrow showcasing the images shot by him in Philippines for which he won a place in International Photography Awards 2006 in the underwater category in non-professional section.
The exhibition will be on till December 23.
