HC won't restrain CBI against Abhishek Verma

New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today dismissed Abhishek Verma's petition challenging Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrates (ACMM) order that the Central Bureau of Investigation probe allegations of tampering with the evidence while on parole in the Navy war room leak case.

Justice A K Sikri observed, "I exercise my jurisdiction and direct the CBI to continue the enquiry." Abhishek was on parole in September this year.

The CBI probe was ordered in October after the ACMM had received an anonymous letter accusing Verma of misusing his custodial parole and tampering with evidence in the case.
