Haryana seeks addl 15,000 tonnes of wheat
Chandigarh, Dec 8 (UNI) The Haryana Government has urged the Centre to allot 15,000 tonnes of additional wheat during the month of December and January to check the soaring prices of wheat in the open market.
In its request to the Union Ministry of Food and Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, the state government has urged that the additional wheat be allocated under the Open Market Sale Scheme (Distribution) from Food Corporation of India, Haryana Region so that the poor could be provided wheat and flour at reasonable prices.
