Four killed and 15 injured in a road mishap near Mandya

Mysore, Dec 8 (UNI) Four people were killed and 15 injured when a tractor, in which they were travailing, fell into a road side ditch at Guddena Halli in Nagamangala taluk in Mandya district today.

Police said that the incident occurred when the tractor carrying about 25 people were returning to Honakere after attending a festival. While five-year old Sagar died on the spot, three others succumbed to injuries in the Nagamangala Hospital. Other victims were identified as Lakshamma (38), Mariyah (70) and Bettaswamy (32).

Nine of the 15 injured have been admitted to Mandya hospital and others in Nagamangala hospital.
