Farmer attempts suicide before CM's chamber

Hyderbad, Dec 8 (UNI) A farmer attempted suicide by consuming poison in front of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's chambers in the Secretariat here today.

Police said the farmer Balaswamy from Mahaboob Nagar came to the Secretariat this morning and wanted to meet the Chief Minister. The security officials issued a pass to him to meet Dr Reddy.

He consumed poison in front of the Chief Minister's chambers.

When the securtiy staff came to know about this, they rushed Mr Balaswamy to Osmania Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
