Congress complains of electoral irregularities
Patna, Dec 8 (UNI) The Congress today lodged complaint to the Chief Electoral Officer, alleging massive irregularities by the state government in the byelection to the Manihari Assembly seat.
Party chief spokesperson Premchandra Mishra alleged that 47 per cent polling took place at Manihari but at the time of counting the number of votes increased mysteriously.
The record maintained in the diaries and in the EVM varied too, he alleged.
He said party candidate Hamid Mubarak was contemplating filing a case in the court in this connection.
