Cold wave conditions prevails in Punjab
Pune, Dec 8 (UNI) Cold wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Punjab and of southwest Rajasthan.
Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of south interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch, south Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and in remaining parts of southwest Rajasthan.
They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, interior Orissa, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarnachal, Haryana, Gujarat Region, north Madhya Maharashtra, and of Marathwada and were above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghlaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar and of Jharkhand. They were normal over the rest of the country outside east Uttar Pradesh where data were sparse.
Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Andman and Nicobar Islands.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
Rain or snow have occurred at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir.
Heavy rains have occured at many places in Andman and Nicobar Islands.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh.
Mainly dry weather prevailed over east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarnchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Lakshadweep.
