Coimbatore advocate reproduces giant Quran
Chennai, Dec 8: A Coimbatore advocate has reproduced a giant Quranmeasuring seven feet high and four feet wide and weighing 250 kg.
M Raja Sharif, written the Islamic holy book in Arabic having 610 pages and weighing 250 kg. It will be unveiled today.
Claiming it a first time feat, Sharif told reporters it was a teameffort and his whole family was involved in the year-long venture.
The lawyer also has to his credit recording 1330 couplets of Tamilpoem, Thirukkural, on palm leaf. It was presented to President A P JAbdul Kalam when he visited the textile city in 2003.
He said the Quran was not for sale and would be gifted to an Arab country.
