Bag worth Rs 17 lakhs stolen from bus in Bhavnagar

Bhavnagar, Dec 8 (UNI) A passenger lost Rs 17 lakhs in cash and gold ornaments in a bus at the ST bus stand here this morning.

Mayurgiri Prabhugiri Karkadiya was going to Amreli with a bag containing Rs 8 lakh cash and one kilogram of gold ornaments worth Rs 9 lakhs, He had placed the bag on the shelf of the bus and took his seat and a little while later noticed that his bag was missing.

FIR was filed. Police have alerted to check buses at all the exit points of the district. However, till late evening, no arrest has been made.

Police are also examining the genuiness of the compalinant as Karkadiya is a spiritual baba and a resident of Ambavadi area here.
