Badal promises Wheat Flour Rs 4 per Kg and pulses Rs 20 per Kg

Ajitwal, Moga, Dec 8 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) president and former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today promised that if SAD-BJP Government came to power in the State, it would provide cheap wheat flour and pulses.

Speaking at the SAD-BJP rally here Mr Badal said if the alliance comes to power, will provide wheat four at the rate of Rs four per Kg and pulses at the rate of Rs 20 per Kg.

Promising several pro-poor welfare programmes, Mr Badal said that the SAD-BJP combine is alsocommitted to continue with its old policy of free power to farmers.

Besides this, every farming family would also be covered under free health insurance scheme under which medical care up to Rs two lakh would be provided free to every family. Dalits would also be provided free power upto 400 units, he promised.

The 'cess abiana' on canal irrigation would also be abolished Mr Badal added.

Besides this, several old welfare programmes including Shagun scheme and old age pension schemes would also continue, he promised.

Speaking at the rally SAD general secretary and former Union Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal also reiterated the party's resolve of implementing several welfare programmes for youths.

These include filling up of all vacant posts in government jobs, setting up of youth development board, Punjab school of sports and setting up of medical and IT colleges in every district.

While promising concessions for the people, the party also announced to set up a commission for probing compliants of excesses and atrocities allegedly committed by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and his government.
