40 CDs confiscated in raids
Kochi, Dec 8 (UNI) The city police after raiding an audio-video studio, owned by the wife of a senior IPS officer, today confiscated 40 CDs of Malayalam and Tamil films for verification.
A high-level police team headed by City Police Commissioner P Vijayan conducted the raids at the studio following information that the studio was circulating pirated CDs to the general public.
Police said the authenticity of the CDs could be known only after further verification.
The studio is owned by the wife of senior IPS officer and Managing Director of Kerala Books and Publishing Society Tomin J Thachankary.
Meanwhile, at a press meet here, the Kerala Film Producers Association said that they would boycott the studio if the CDs confiscated were found to be pirated.
