2 history-sheeters killed in encounter, captive released

Lucknow, Dec 8: Two history-sheeters were gunned down in anencounter and a captive was released from their clutches in Aligarhdistrict late last night, police today said.

Two pistols and a large number of cartridges were recovered from the spot.

Acting on a tip-off, cops reached the Tappal police station areaand shot dead two notorious criminals. Meanwhile, police also rescuedYogesh Gupta, whom the due had abducted on November 11 last.

The slain criminals were yet to be identified, police added.
