10 CPI(M) workers including MLA sentenced

Thrissur, Dec 8 (UNI) A lower court today sentenced 10 CPI(M) workers, including Wadakkancherry MLA A C Moideen to five months imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs 3,500 each in connection with an agitation at a local taluk office.

First Class Magistrate Biju Menon pronounced the verdict against the workers for causing blockade in connection with the agitation at the Thalappilli taluk office in 2004.
