Vehicle-lifters arrested, used to inject sedatives before looting

Jaipur, Dec 5 (UNI) Sikar police have busted a gang involved in vehicle-lifting after injecting sedatives to drivers with the arrest of four members of the gang.

Sikar district police superintendent Alok Vashist said three of the four memebrs of the gang belonged to one family and have confessed to have committed seven thefts.

He said the police have received a complaint from a driver on Sunday night that four members of a gang including a woman fled with his Tavera after administering sedation.

The police intercepted a Tavera vehicle at check post coming from Sikar. On inspection of the vehicle the police found used and new syringes, sedatives, mobile phones and on interogation they have confessed the crime.
