Traffic arrangements for Ambedkar's death anniversary

Mumbai, Dec 5 (UNI) Considering the large crowds of devotees in Mumbai tomorrow on the occasion of the 50th death anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mumbai police have made certain arrangements to avoid traffic congestion in the city.

Considering the large crowds of people at Chaityabhumi Dadar, Shivaji Park, Dadar railway station and Mahim railway station areas, few changes have been made to control traffic on Dec 5, 6 and 7, a release issued here today said.

People arriving by trains from northern parts of Mumbai can move forward from Matunga railway station via T H Katariya Marg to Swatantryaveer Savarkar Marg, from where, they can take a left turn and reach Chaityabhumi.

People arriving by trains from southern parts of Mumbai can move forward from Dadar railway station towards Chaityabhumi via Ranade Road.

To maintain law and order, the N C Kelkar Marg from Shivaji Mandir junction to Matoshree Meenatai Thackeray statue, will be closed for pedestrians and all types of vehicles, for smooth movement of police vehicles.

There will be one-way traffic on Bhavani Shankar Road and S K Bole Marg. Parking arrangements have been made at South band one lane alongside Senapati Bapat Marg, the release added.
