Swiss National convicted under NDPS Act

Mumbai, Dec 5 (UNI) A Special Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court here today convicted a Swiss National Rico Flour to ten years rigorous imprisonment in a drugs case registered against him during 2004.

Special NDPS court judge P C Bavaskar held Flour guilty under the NDPS act and sentenced him to ten years rigorous imprisonment. The court also slapped a fine of two two lakhs failing which he will have had to undergo another one year jail term.

According to prosecution case, Flour was carrying 6.4 kgs of ''Hashish'', concealed in his bag on June 11, 2004, and was about to board the Swiss Air flight from Sahar International Airport when he was apprehended by airport customs.
