Study team visits East-West corridor project

Guwahati, Dec 5 (UNI) A high level official team made an on-the-spot study at Udharbond, Dalai, Bijoypur and Balachera areas in the Chachar district on speedy acquisition of land for East-West corridor.

Official sources said here today that the team, headed by Gautom Ganguly, Deputy Commissioner, Chachar district, comprised of Y P Gautam, DIG, Sree Ram, General Manager BSNL, Satyen Gogoi, Superintendent of Police, Chachar, Addl Chief Engineer ASEB, DFO Cachar and officials from National Highway Authorities of India.

The team took various decisions for speedy acquisition of land for Mahasadak and for removing electrical poles, hutments and other hurdles within a week, the sources added.
